Some ideas in my mind

So, last time I mentioned that I was going to this wedding expo in my home town. I can honestly tell you that it was one really great dissapointment. Tickets costed around 12-15 euros. There were a few locations advertising there services (we hopefully have our location allready, so that was not interesting), 3-4 jewelry shops of witch two were considered as an veddingring shops. Also one cake maker, a few photographers and two clothing shops. There was also a makeups spot, chance to make a sport deal and a teeth withener company. Might sound alot, but actually it could take no more than 20 min to see it all. The best parts for me where this surprising musical show from a sellist and guitar player and having coffee with my dad. He was there for work, their spot in Keuruu was presented in there, Viikinhovi.

What was good about that day was to have a chance to speak with my Made of Honor for a whole day. She lives in an other town and when we do see it is always an endless time of talking. It was so great! We went to eat in a indian restaurant and went to look rings in town, since it was too grouded for my liking in the expo and for the end of the day we went to see improvisation. I loved it! Even my soon to be husband joined in in the evening, when the impro turned to english language and it was his first time been introduced to impro. He could have stayed there the whole night, it was an impromarathon, so that could have been possible. But 8 hours of impro was enough for me. All in all, day was great with my Made of Honor even though the wedding expo was not what expected.

This week i have been jumping with different ideas in my head. I shall share some of them here. But I warn you, these are ideas, and we might use them or not or make something else.

1. What if my wedding ring (maybe mr. J:s ring also) would be designed and made by a handcraft student? Actually my friend Nita already sent some inquiries to her former school friends. In the otherhand I have also asked from one jewelry company what might cost to have a ring made. Could fit something to our budjet! Problem is, that my engagement ring is not a regular form. It is shaped wishbone style. That means, that most rings look (in my opinion) silly next to it. I took a photo of our rings on top of Leos nose, the image at the beginning of this post.

2. Could we have our dog some way with the wedding or atleast when taking pictures? I think this might end up as only a dream, since it is mostly difficult to have a dog at the weddings and photoshoots have only limited time, having a dog and a wheelchair to think about is putting that time in a great test. Any how, I don´t know yet if the wedding spot even allowes dogs in the area. Where would he stay most of the day? Is it really worth the effort?

3. We will most likely not have a church wedding. So it will be some type of civil wedding maybe at the location where the reception will also be. That has made me think of lot of options of how we could make the wedding go, since it is not so directly pound by rules of ceremony. We would like some type of ceremony, since civil weddings in most simply can be utterly short and boring. I have

been thinking about Sand ceremony and just today I even found out about an option of greating a glass ceremony. This was very intreeding for me, but it would cost a lot more than just some sand and vase. For more details watch the video:

4. This week I came across a song that made me smile and gigle of an idea the song drew in my mind. Since I feel it is maybe slightly crazy idea and can still change many times, I dare to tell it here. What if for my entrance/ walk to my grooms side at the wedding that song would be playing: song of Phill Collins: On my way!

5. Talking about music, maybe some talented friends might wanna help with the entrance and even performe at the reception during the evening. I know atleast a friend from Viitasaari who is talented with her singing and her husband can play the guitar I belive. I also know my made of Honor is a great actor. I think when Save the date cards are sent, I will mostlikely do the honor and actually ask some people more formaly about this :)
